Plasticulture detection at the country scale by combining multispectral and SAR satellite data [Data set]

  • The dataset provides access to a Google Earth Engine workflow for the detection of plastic-covered farmlands (plasticulture) with Sentinel-1&2 satellite data. The dataset also provides access to the training data used for detecting plastic covers in Germany in 2020 and to the results of the classification. The results are presented as hexagonal shapefiles containing the area of detected plastic covers.
