In 2018, Achille Mbembe, the important theorist of the Postcolony, has accepted an invitation to Augsburg to fill the "International Visiting Professorship at the Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum/ Internationale Gastdozentur am Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum". In his lectures, he focused on “Borders in the Age of Networks”.
