Goal Oriented Mesh Adaptivity for Mixed Control-State Constrained Elliptic Optimal Control Problems

  • We consider the application of the goal-oriented weighted dual approach for the adaptive finite element solution of mixed control-state constrained elliptic optimal control problems with an objective functional of tracking type. Choosing the objective functional as the quantity of interest, the a posteriori error estimator consists of primal-dual residuals, a primal-dual mismatch in complementarity, and data oscillations. Numerical examples illustrate the performance of the error estimator.
