Our daily Platonism: lessons from a theory of pure finite sets

  • This paper defends – by detailed performances of theory-building – Platonism and logicism regarding pure finite sets (and thereby also regarding natural numbers), and it teaches how not to overestimate the consequences of Gödel’s incompleteness theorem for set-theoretical and arithmetical proof-certified knowledge.
