On the Geometry of Symmetric R-Spaces
- In this survey article we report on our recent work, partially in collaboration with Jost-Hinrich Eschenburg, on geometric properties of symmetric R-spaces and their submanifolds. This paper also contains a new result on the convexity of certain reflective submanifolds in simply connected irreducible compact symmetric spaces of Dynkin type a.
